Are your finals just for this semester or was it the finals of the overall course?
I went on a bit of a search in my post history for lack of anything better to do and realized I left this unanswered xD I was exaggerating at the time but I'm on a mental health track to get tested. My doctors and therapists seem convinced I have it. I have perpetual brain fog, anxiety, fidgeting, mood swings, decision paralysis, forgetfulness, let alone poor attention span. It could be other things though like bipolar disorder. Not sure. I haven't been able to find a psychologist that takes my insurance to find out, so on the meantime I'm just feeling a bit helpless.

Ah. Well I hope you find someone who can officially diagnose you, because it really does feel like a night and day difference once you start taking medications that help with whatever you end up diagnosed with. When I got diagnosed I wasn't even looking to get diagnosed with ADHD in the first place, because I was just seeing my psychologist over depression/anxiety but after some time where she felt it wouldn't be adding onto my mental load she diagnosed me on the spot with it because in her words I was the "textbook definition of someone with ADHD" to the point she didn't even bother doing any sort of tests with me. XD
My day yesterday went in no way I expected it to go. I was suffering with yet another headache that I couldn't get rid of even with medicine and my cold head wrap, but I managed to somewhat alleviate it during my drive home from taking @ ShiraNoMai to the train station so I thought I could spend my evening doing a load of stuff. Instead, I basically slept 90% of the time from 2:30pm until 6am going by my Fitbit tracking. I tried getting up at around 8pm but fell asleep on the couch within less than an hour, so when I stirred at some point I decided to just go back to bed. I didn't even feel properly rested when I woke at 6am but forced myself to get up because I wanted to make sure I had time to eat before I went to class today since I basically didn't eat anything since before noon yesterday.

So far, my week's mostly just been work . It's been tough (trying to make a very old system look more modern, with as much coding trickery as I can), but I am making progress .
For the next couple of days, though, I'll be going away with my girlfriend. It's a bit last-minute - but, since we didn't get the chance to go away in the summer, I thought we should do something like that before the end of the year!

I would've tried asking him why at the time but it's better for him to get going as soon as possible. I don't know why he didn't, perhaps he did and no one picked up. I did learn why, and it's because of the surgery he had recently, the stitches opened up so he had to go back in (to A&E). Like you said if he was able to go himself, then the opening probably wasn't terrible like blood suddenly gushing out but yeah, no way should anyone be expected to work like that.
Man you weren't even rested after all the sleep. Sounds like you needed a whole lot more, but alas class and other stuff gets in the way. Hope you're able to get another good time to rest soon, even though that instance wasn't fully intended to be that long.
November is just being ridiculous with the weather temperature, frick me, definitely Winter weather and basically December-Feb are usually as bad or worse, so hoorah for 4 months of cold. Got my haircut recently and well as I usually allow my hair to grow then cut most of it off again, my head is chilly so yeah bad timing on my part. I knew it was bad timing anyway, my intention was for an October haircut but I left it then was too ill then, but if I did my hair would've still been too short. I have woolly hats though or hoods so I'm good.

Kinda wish we got more of the cold everyone else seems to be getting, but as per usual, Florida tends to forget what day it is. I don't blame it, though. I'd forget the day, too, if I didn't have calendars and reminders plastered all over my life.
Today, funnily enough, was the arrival of our very first cold front--down to 14C tonight! I don't think it's been under 20 since at least February, what a dream it's been so far. Hoping it doesn't dwell above too soon; especially cuz I intend on taking Moony to see some big kitties at a local conservation center this weekend :3

Quite busy, really .
On Friday, I went to London to meet a couple of forum friends. We had hoped to go bowling - but unfortunately, we didn't get the chance, since it was just too busy. So instead, we ended up playing darts - which turned out to be a more-than-acceptable substitute !
Then, yesterday, I went to my company's Christmas meal. It was at a Brazilian steakhouse (where they brought around various different cuts of meat, and we just kept taking bits until we'd had enough). Was very enjoyable, although I think I probably ate too much!
Finally, today, I met some friends for lunch (had bruschetta and pizza), and then did some Christmas shopping (at my local Christmas market). On the whole, I think it was a very successful day: I reckon I've done more than half of my Christmas shopping now !

my work week starts anew tomorrow, but so far the month of november has been a huge high point for me! i've gotten several positive evaluations from my leadership and it seems i'll be cruising towards more permanent employment/a raise with them soon, alongside a possible promotion in the not too distant future.
to say that this is a big highlight of my life is really an understatement. i've been relaxing and riding this high all weekend, anxiously waiting for the meeting with leadership which is supposed to take place at some point this week. c:

@ Kyng : Yeah, Fridays tend to be too busy for bowling that day, weekends and Mondays I've found, though myself and two of my family managed to get in though that was back in late September on a Friday.
My week off work begins tomorrow, but the last three days (including this one) are standard days off for me. Monday I went to my Dad's with our family friend to keep him company and stayed the night into Tuesday where we did bowling. I played quite poorly, barely got any spares which made 8 of my scores go below 100, the only decent-ish one I got was 113.
Today just a whatever day, but tomorrow we both go back to my Dad's and accompany him to a hospital for a biopsy. Really hoping he's not in the unlucky 25% for cancer, even if not he still has something that needs treating pronto.

-offers a friendly hug- Big mood. It's hard to recover once expectations like that get subverted through something completely unexpected and out of your control. I may not know you quite well, but I'd like to believe in your ability to recover from this hurdle soon enough
(that is an adorable puppy gif btw, omg)
My therapy session the day before has brought light onto the fact that I was apparently one explanation away from a huge rant about my life right now lmao Just needed to step back, be validated in my anxiety on many separate things I need to constantly keep track of, and refocus my priorities. I have an Eisenhower Matrix I work with for my task priorities, but quite a few of my tasks have gotten backlogged and have just bloated out my Urgent and Important (Tier 1) lists. Just accepting the L and skipping the recurrences of the tasks, in addition to creating mini Eisenhowers for the day, and I think I'm already getting back on track. Sheesh. Now I get to go away for a few days and try to not think about the other things I'm not doing

My last few days have been rather heavy. Heavier than I thought they would be until I realised how much a couple hours ago.
I don't want to go into too much detail, I did stay with my Dad for two nights after his biopsy procedure, just waiting for results now, got home and well, other stuff happened...yeah. Again I don't want to go into detail, but will make sure he'll be alright as side effects can happen over a period of time. We did try and have a good time still while I was there.

Ah, yeah that definitely warrants going to A&E to get dealt with over working. Still odd to me they came in to work first rather than just go straight to A&E and just call work to tell them what was up. XD

to say that this is a big highlight of my life is really an understatement. i've been relaxing and riding this high all weekend, anxiously waiting for the meeting with leadership which is supposed to take place at some point this week. c: I saw your post after this one so hoping that one wasn't a follow-up to this one, I wanted to wish you good luck with that meeting and if it happened already and was the thing that prompted your last post, it sounds like it didn't turn out as well as expected in which case I'm sorry to hear that.

Then take up weight lifting again so it isn't as heavy...
In seriousness, I hope things are going okay (or as okay as they can given whatever the circumstances are) and wish you well with whatever's happening. If you need to talk it out at all I'm here for you if you need it.
My day today would have been attempting to prepare my department for a 900 piece truck coming tonight, but instead the power decided to go out for a split second and cause every freezer in the store to stop working so I wasn't allowed to continue doing anything on the department until it got fixed, which wasn't until the literal minute my shift ended. So I'm expecting tomorrow to be a total shitshow now as a result, although I'm holding onto the small slither of hope the stars align to make the day go well somehow.

So I stayed extra to cover half of the afternoon, Saturdays are always a good time *ahem*. Then tomorrow just me and the new kid, who happens to be in for all the day but I'm not so it'll be a good test for him, ha....ha, Sundays. There'll be a manager to help when I'm not there though. I'm guessing whatever it was wasn't too terrible if they were able to come in and tell you and the manager they were taking themselves to A&E. I do wonder why they didn't just call in instead though?
I would've tried asking him why at the time but it's better for him to get going as soon as possible. I don't know why he didn't, perhaps he did and no one picked up. @ paintbucket I know I was bit too focused on what was happening with me earlier, but damn, hope things are going a better for you, paintbucket.
@ Little Matcha Girl Also hope you have a spare/new toothbrush handy, well obviously you have something after 3 days anyway.
@ Moonface Ehhh....?! Why did you work 12 hours? Actually I can imagine why with the amount things you have to do over there from past posts. Oof.
Also I have started weightlifting again, I actually had a good run in October until I suddenly got ill, then ill again in November, but have been doing some on odd days. I did do 50 bicep curls, just so my arms had done something before bowling, as it was my sister's birthday on Sunday but fat chance trying to go bowling on the weekend with high prices. We still did a meal that day for her with my brother and others involved too. Despite me trying to prepare for it, I sucked at bowling only managing an 88 out of 6 games when last time I got 144 at the same venue, BAH.
About the heavy stuff, it's calmed down a bit, there was a mental breakdown not by me going on and other stuff, just took a toll on me. Just want the rest of this year to ride out more easy because 2025 is definitely going to be a busier year.
The most I'm doing at work is 10 hours and that's two days coming up I'm scheduled for (this Saturday then Monday), 9 hours Tuesday, 8 tomorrow and Sunday. Our stock has most certainly come in, and there's price wars going on between the big stores competing to get the lowest priced veg, we were meant to bring down to 15p but then price war happened, and we got it all put down to 8p for the carrots, broccoli, sprouts, parsnips and one type of potato. Peeps be annoyed at the other potatoes being so much than the 8p ones, I bet we're going to have problems shifting that stuff.
