I was going to play it with my sister - but unfortunately, she couldn't connect due to a "getsockopt" error. And the online help didn't even solve the issue: that error is usually associated with LAN connections, but we weren't running one of those: I was hosting a server, and she was trying to connect to it!

Did make some progress with building a railway on my own, though.

Been playing Chris Sawyer's Locomotion again, with a British Rail mod to vastly increase the number of trains available.

I've already long since completed my objectives, and now I'm just trying to connect up as much of the map as possible... I've already got over half of it!

I've been on a losing streak in Slay the Spire lately. Though I did win A1 with Defect, every chance I've had to get A1 with Ironclad has gone horribly wrong in some fashion and it has made me perpetually sad.

Annoyingly, one of the coal mines (that I'd built a railway across most of the map to) closed down, so I had to make some pretty major changes... that's all done now, though  .

Hello Kitty Island Adventure [PC/Steam]:

I've become fast friends with a lot of the characters and was able to level some of them up to go on a few adventures. Hopefully tomorrow I can get high enough level for the snorkeling adventure. It's a bit frustrating how doing daily quests feels like gate keeping. <_< The game is adoreable, and I have been enjoying it. BUT I sort of wish it released sooner then later tbh.

Beat the daily run for the day, and then did a Silent run on Ascension 2 and won on my second attempt of it. I also apparently had never beaten the Time Keeper boss in the game yet despite having beaten a lot of runs with multiple characters.

Grounded (PC)
Man, NG+ is so much fun in this game. Enemies are worth fighting even when you don't need their parts anymore, and having the Handy Gnat is such a massive QoL improvement.

It's worth it!! They're a lot of fun. I 1000% recommend Forgotten Land :'D

Monster Hunter Wilds Open Beta Test 2 (PC)

Yeah, so I didn't try the first Open Beta Test because I thought it was only available to pre-orders of the game. Turns out, no, literally anyone can play it, including PS5 and Xbox Series S/X players. Nice. I also tried out the Benchmark tester, and my system can comfortably maintain 40 fps at medium graphic settings. This is acceptable to me. I suspect that my CPU is what's holding me back from higher settings, as this is a refurb'd office computer that I just happened to shove a 3070 into. Either way, game runs. I probably should have bought it on PS5, but I got a 15% discount through Humble Bundle buying it on PC, so PC it is!

Edit: I'd also like to note that goddamn, the RE Engine is a friggin' workhorse of an Engine. It's hard to believe RE7, Street Fighter 6, Devil May Cry 5, and this game all use the same engine! It just shows how flexible an engine they made, doesn't it, EA?!

been playing quite a bit of fire emblem: radiant dawn. once i'm done with that, it's time to move forward to fe6 and play the gba fire emblem games. @__@ that's going to be an experience, for sure!

Hello Kitty Island Adventure [Steam]: I'm now about lvl 10/11 with a lot of the characters and was able to upgrade my house to a condo/apt complex. I do not like that. I would have rather had a bigger house then having to share it with strange animals I barely know. 👀So I decided to move from the place I upgraded to the ocean floor since I love being a mermaid anyway and can have a home there. Did my dailies and quit for the night.

Pokémon Violet {Switch]: Took part in the shiny bird hunts. Got a Pikipek , a Starly, and a Fletchling. Impo the Pikipek seemed to have a darker colored crest when it's shiny. The Starly was super brown shiny, and the Fletchling had an all-red body. So, I had fun shiny hunting them all.

Genshin Impact

Just doing whatever in my accounts, I got C6 Clorinde in my NA which makes her my strongest character out of any that I've had across my three accounts, however I did have to spend a little to get the final constellation, everything else was used with rewards I got in game. I just couldn't leave that last constellation another 4-6 or longer months until her next rerun, so I can finally start saving towards another character. I don't know who yet though.
Another thing I wanted to get for my EU PC server, was Shenhe's first constellation, I did lose to Xiao which made him my first Xiao ever as I never pulled for him before and will make some use of him. I also did eventually get Shenhe's C1 after.

Wuthering Waves

Playing it a bit more again as I didn't play enough last patch as much as I wanted to, even missed out an event. Convened for Phoebe, the new Spectro unit, I haven't had a Spectro DPS yet, and she's fun to play. Bought her waveband from the in-game store with the Coral payback you get from pulling. I also convened for Carlotta in the last patch before this one and have her as well, so I can focus on 5 different teams to play with.

...So I'm gonna start by saying this game I'm about to describe feels like a fever dream.

Enigma of Sepia (mobile)

So, I downloaded and started playing because I saw the ads for it on Youtube, and I couldn't believe them. Like, there was no way, right? There's no way they're doing this. But no! They are!

They are commiting full-scale character design theft.

All of the characters -- ALL OF THEM -- are sexy female versions of characters from other anime and video games. Oh, they renamed them in-game -- not in the ads -- but they are obviously based on other characters. Just from what I recognize, I've seen Bleach, Naruto, Demon Slayer, Full Metal Alchemist, One Piece, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Jojo's Bizzare Adventure, Hellsing, Dragonball Z, Persona 5, Overwatch, Death Note, and My Hero Academia! And those are just the properties I recognize! I have no doubts there are more!

This game is gonna get nuked in a week, I swear! This feels like a fever dream that they had the audacity to do this! Holy crap!
