Day would be OK, like most of Sundays, but it is even better I have vacation next week.

@Adeptus: Nice! Any plans for your vacation? ^_^

I have no idea what it was, but when I left work about an hour ago I saw my car was absolutely swarmed with flies. Something had got onto the window of my back door that attracted them all, and I scraped off what I could with a stick but I could not even begin to guess what it was. At first I thought it was maybe bird shit but it wasn't that. Errm

Weekend at work was really busy over the weekend, Friday included even but then again I had to do delivery so was behind both Friday/Saturday, plus down one colleague didn't help so was tough to keep on top of everything. I stayed longer so should've been worth it in the end for the extra monies. Finally three days of rest (down to one left now) before Thursday.

Hope you enjoy(ed) your vacation!

My wheat reintroduction is still going well. It's lovely having all this stuff I used to enjoy back on the menu: Southern fried chicken; some pasta meals; normal muffins and crumpets; and most of the cereals I used to eat. Pizza's a lot easier now too: it still has to have vegan cheese, but at least it no longer has to be both gluten-free and vegan.

There's been a bit of a transitional phase over the past week, though. I didn't have the last of my gluten-free bread until yesterday - and it does feel a bit sad to be saying goodbye to it, given that it's helped me through the past four months. But it is lovely to be back to normal bread again!

Been a rough few days for me since Friday. I had an essay due that day, and despite working on it literally all day, I ended up not getting it remotely finished which put me in a really bad state mentally. I've also felt unwell since then, and today ended up leaving work early because of that. I'm hoping I feel better tomorrow but I just have a feeling I won't. Errm

I always did poorly with essays, though sometimes if mine wasn't finished I got a day or so or to complete it on the day or even if I had to stay after lesson times into the evening. Hope you got some extra time, though I don't know fully what US education are like with their deadlines. I also hope you feel better too, Moony. Sad

Did the usual with my Dad for Father's Day, eat out and bowling with my sister and brother too. Yesterday our family friend game over (the guy I play Scrabble and do walks with), we did a local walk with my sister and happened to walk into Moony's own dad and brother too (we went down by the river near Marsh Farm).
Sunny weather again, some days have been really hot, others just hot. I prefer "just hot" days. XD Also was a decent breeze as well which is very welcome on any hot day.

What really got in my head about this one was I'm usually very good with essays, and for this class I've had the teacher before and she really, really liked the essay I wrote for her the last time I had a class with her. She also often gets badly written essays so I know she would've been looking forward to mine. If I'm lucky, she might take into account the history I have with her to work something out with me but if nothing else I just hope what I submitted can be enough to at least get a passing grade, because the essay holds so much weight in the grade book that a failing grade on it would highly guarantee I don't pass this class which will really fuck me over. x.x

Was it just my dad and brother down there? Seems unusual for them to both go out without my mum coming along. o.o

Ah so you've had that teacher before, yeah hope she'll work something out for you and not get a failing grade.

It was just them two, I can't remember what your dad actually said about your mum not being there, she was mentioned. I can only remember that your brother just really wanted to get out of the house for a bit, so they decided on a walk down to the river. Was quite hot out, I was sweating just being out there.

Ah the joys of having no air con, yay.

Fortunately she broached the subject with me yesterday about my paper and could tell that it was unlike me to have an unfinished paper, and she told me she'll mark my paper as incomplete to let me resubmit a finished one. No idea if it'll get graded as if it wasn't resubmitted or if it'll be capped at a pass grade but I'll take it.

Ah, surprising that it was my brother who wanted out. I'd expect my dad to be the one wanting to go out more between the two of them. LOL

No idea how much this would help you, but if you wanna keep cool (particularly outside) I'd recommend one of these: JISULIFE Portable Neck Fan
Doesn't have to be that brand but that was the best one I found back in late 2024 when buying one for @ShiraNoMai for Christmas.

Got a bit of a bombshell at work, when my boss suddenly left. Needless to say, this has thrown everything into turmoil - and I have no idea where things will go from here. I have had enough work left over from last week to have something to do - but, that isn't going to last me forever!

Other than that, I've been fine, but sweltering due to an ongoing heat wave. I'll be seeing my girlfriend at a dog show tomorrow... hopefully it won't be too hot for us!
