Mario Strikers: Battle League - 1st Free Update
The first free update for Mario Strikers: Battle League arrives in on July 21st in the US and July 22nd for Europe, and will include Daisy and Shy Guy as playable characters, a new gear set called "Knight", and a new stadium called "Desert Ruin".

Ah so they are doing free updates which includes characters. Hehe, nice indeed. Daisy definitely deserved to be in this since she was in the first two. Shy Guy was kinda a given too, being team choice beforehand. Assume they'll have multiple colours for Shy Guy like Yoshi.

People have been talking about the distaste in their mouth with Nintendo essentially gate-keeping the full game behind "DLC' but honestly, I think this works. If everything is available all at once, what reason is there to ever come back to it? This enforces longevity, WITHOUT the sacrifice of having to ever pay more cuz they're free updates anyway.

Nintendo are lucky their games rarely drop in price, because I'm sure this approach makes some people (such as myself) feel like waiting to get the game once all the content is out for it, but there's no financial incentive to do so like there would be if any other company took this approach. If Sony or Microsoft did this tactic waiting would mean by the time I wait for all the content to come out I can probably get the game for half the original price.

Second Free Update Announced for Mario Strikers: Battle League
The second free update for Mario Strikers: Battle League, announced during today's Nintendo Direct, will add Pauline and Diddy Kong as playable characters, along with a slew of new gear and a new stadium!



This free update will be available some time this month.

Well here I am sitting on my ass not even having update 1 yet....and well, *ahem*. Gotta get in on this. Also cool Pauline is appearing, can't remember if she playable ever before, might've been one game but seeing her become playable here is a treat I guess.
